In 1998, we began our life’s dream and ambition to have our own business! Oyster Point Car Wash was created.
The birth of our business was not an easy one, as it took almost 18 months of planning and 14 months of construction for it to come
together so we could wash our first customer’s car.
Now why would three people with over 65 years of combined retail business and management skills decide to
 take this
type of a risk? Because, we love the retail business and we hoped that if we could pass this feeling along to our customer, we would
be a success.
2004 marks our fifth year of operation in Newport News and, by no means, do we take that lightly. We understand that in order to
survive not only for these five years, but also another five and beyond, our commitment to excellence is required on a daily basis
to you our customer. Without you, our valued patron, another minute of operating the Oyster Point Car Wash would not be possible.
At Oyster Point Car Wash we, the owners, work diligently on site at being familiar with you, your needs, and are, in most cases,
available at our business on a daily basis to meet your expectations. We have hand-selected each of our staff, and strive to treat them with dignity and respect - and expect excellence from each of our team. You will see that our staff has been with us for some time, and we are grateful to each of them for their service and commitment. We are proud of their personal pledge to you, and are gratified to see the many hours of training and orientation bearing the fruits of our labor.
Every month, several thousand vehicles pass through our facilities. Whether it be a basic wash service, a complete detailing, a
full service oil change, or a self-serve wash customer, the service and commitment from our staff is the same - EXCELLENCE IS OUR
MISSION. We demand excellence in all aspects of our commitment to you - from the owner/operators, each of our staff, and our
suppliers. Our mission statement is "let's keep this customer for life."
Our commitment to excellence at a competitive value is contagious, and that is why many of our customers drive past competitor's
wash facilities to revisit the best - OYSTER POINT CAR WASH. Many of you have told us you come from as far as Virginia Beach,
Williamsburg, and the Eastern Shore (just to mention a few). We are humbled! That is why we work so diligently to maintain the
trust of you, our customer.
Our Bottom line...we work hard to provide the best value and service in the wash and lube industry anywhere in southeastern
Virginia (and, perhaps the entire state).
